Vanessa is a bilingual BC Registered Clinical Counsellor. She is a highly organized, motivated and determined mental health clinician with experience working with children, youth, adults, and couples from diverse cultural backgrounds for over 10 years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work focusing on Family Therapy in Hong Kong and a second Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University. She is certified in Coginitive Behavior Therapy, emotion-focused family therapy and EMDR.
Aside from working with the community and in public service, she has also volunteered for 2 months at an orphanage in Tanzania, Africa, taught elementary students in Hong Kong, and taught children with autism in Vancouver.
Her empathetic, accepting, and caring nature, alongside her personal and professional experiences, allows her to have a greater understanding of the clients' different perspectives.
In her spare time, she enjoys being adventurous, including travelling the world, yoga, cycling, hiking, scuba diving, and other activities.
